We always have experts on issues that we tackle. They are there to tell us more on the topic, advice young people and answer questions that people may have. We do take calls and communicate via our facebook page as well.
Monday – Educator Support – On this day we talk to the youth about issues that affect them socially as well as academically. By doing this we trying to encourage young people to be positive in whatever challenges they might be facing.
Thursday – Youth Ke Yona- This is where we try and instil values amongst the youth of the Eastern Cape. We are saying as a young person you must know what you stand for, where you come from and where you are going. This is to encourage them not to let the difficulties in their background determine the level of their success. They must go out knock on doors that will help them succeed and not give up.
How it links to youth development
Firstly the topics that we talk about speak directly to the youth as we are a youth talk show.
Yong people are then given a chance to interact with each other by expressing how they feel about things that are happening in their communities.
That is the first step: they will raise their issues on the show then after they will sit down and try come with solutions to the problems not add to them. They don’t that alone, they do it with the help of the experts we have on the show (different topic, different expert).
