Abongile AKA Abo matriculated at Kingsridge High School, got her Drama degree at the University of Pretoria, and her aspirations are to study further. Abo is a very talented young woman and she’s hoping that be around for a long time and promised to leave her mark in the media/entertainment industry. “so watch the space.” she loves people and entertaining them. “Some say I'm crazy but in a nutshell, I am fun, loving and straight forward!”

What show do you do? 

Homestretch, 3-6pm every weekday.

What is the personality of your show, favourite features?

It is fun, informative, entertaining and crazy. Ringanathi, Nation building and Tshotsho. 

Who does your show speak to? 

Everyone who’s the target audience of the station which is 16 – 34.

Who inspired you to join radio and how did you join? 

No one really, I have always wanted to be in media and knew I wanted to do radio one day. How I joined, I was going for radio drama auditions at trufm and next thing I knew I was asked to record a demo and offered a contract to co-host the afternoon drive. 

What else do you do besides radio, your hobbies? 

I read a lot and I write a lot of scripts and some fiction stories, which I plan to publish one day and put on stage. 

Besides your own show, which is your favourite trufm show? 

Mid-Morning blend 9-12, I love it? and the Top 30. 

Where would one find you on your weekend, what would you be doing and with whom? 

Outdoors, I go out dancing with my friends. 

What do you like most about Eastern Cape and its people?

I was born and grew up in Eastern Cape, so I am familiar with everybody here, we like one big happy family. 

If you could be anyone else who would it be and why? 

Charlize Theron, I admire her acting talent. 

If not radio, what would you be doing? 

Acting and voice-over work.
