General Olusegun Obasanjo was born in Ogun State, in March 1937. Trained in Nigeria, India, Britain and the United States. He is a Christian from the Yoruba-speaking south-west of the country. 

He first came to prominence as the soldier who accepted the surrender of Biafran forces after the 1967-70 civil war. In 1976, the then military head of state, Murtala Mohammed was assassinated, and Mr Obasanjo took over the reins of power. As military ruler of Nigeria from 1976-79, General Obasanjo is well-remembered for having eventually handed over to an elected civilian government. He subsequently became a strong opponent of military rule during the time of General Sani Abacha in the mid-1990s, and was imprisoned in 1995 on coup-plotting charges.

Oluseye Abiodun Olayanju a.k.a. “DJ Waxxy” was born in Nigeria and has been a DJ since 1990. He started off his career working at Ray Power 100.5, Nigeria’s first independent radio station as a freelancer whilst studying at University of Lagos where he was doing a degree in Computer Science. 

He graduated top of his class in 1997. After that he worked with Rhythm 93.7 in Lagos and he used that radio station’s affiliations with YFM in Johannesburg, to relocate to South African in 2001 doing the Kami Kazi Heat on YFM. Akosua Busia is a Ghanaian actress who now lives in the U.S. The daughter of Kofi Abrefa Busia, the ex-prime minister of the Republic of Ghana, Akosua is a princess of the royal family of Wenchi, a subgroup of the Ashanti. 

Her sister is the poet and academic Abena Busia. Her film roles include a notable performance as Nettie in Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple (1985), as Jewel in John Singleton's Rosewood (1997), and as Patience in Antoine Fuqua's Tears of the Sun (2003).
