Ayanda a.k.a Ma-Andza Maliwa was born and bred in a place called Mahasana in Willowvale, his passion for radio was developed when he was young and in 2008 he studied multi-media and radio production at Boston media house.

What show do you do?

Jump Start & Reggae Tunes 

What is the personality of your show, favourite features? 

I like the features that I have in my shows but on reggae tunes there’s a feature which I like mostly called Battle of the kings On Jump start it has to be the one called “ is it true?”

Who does your show speak to? 

To the youth of Eastern Cape, people who are big dreamers 

Who inspired you to join radio and how did you join? 

It’s so unbelievable that the person who inspired and still to date inspires me is a soccer commentator by the name Zingisile Mathiso from Umhlobo wenene How I joined radio, I used to visit at SABC in Auckland park in j’burg and experienced quite a lot of things there by that I was still at school By the end of 2010 I decided on doing a demo and made a number of copies and sent them to various radio stations and (UCR) was first to discover my talent but that was before I sent a demo at trufm where I’m at now. 

What else do you do besides radio, your hobbies?

Going out meet new people making contacts, play soccer and mc

Besides your own show, which is your favourite trufm show?

There’s only one show that I don’t omit which goes by the name GROUND ZERO IT’S YOUR BOYYYYYYYYY…….. The reason why I like it is that Blaq and I have one thing in common we are not strict to ourselves, we are just crazy 

Where would one find you on your weekend, what would you be doing and with whom?

At home with friends or one my friends’ place just having fun and discuss work because most of my friends are my colleagues 

What do you like most about Eastern Cape and its people? 

This province has got a lot of opportunities to make a living and people here are so polite, they have love 

If you could be anyone else who would it be and why? 

No one because I want to make my own mark on earth 

If not radio, what would you be doing? 

I never dreamt of becoming anything else but a radio personality, if not behind the mike I would be somewhere behind the scenes.
