C - Sonke was born in Mdantsane and she moved to Cape during her early teens. Someone once told her that when she sees a person without a smile 'give them yours' and that is what she does everyday and that has made her life one big party. Being in the entertainment industry for her means changing lives and making a difference and that is what she's here to do.

What show do you do? 

The Real Deal from 12:30 – 15:00. Mondays – Fridays 

What is the personality of your show, favourite features?

Our show is informative, interactive and very entertaining. 

Who does your show speak to? 

It speaks to every young person in the Eastern Cape that wants to know what is currently happening around them and wants to know about the opportunities that are available to them. 

Who inspired you to join radio and how did you join? 

Growing up my brother used to listen to Glen Lewis and I really admired my brother, he was the coolest thing ever. In my teens, I knew that this is what I wanna do and here I am and loving every minute of it.

What else do you do besides radio, your hobbies?

I love shopping, reading fashion magazines and I’m a sucker for chick flicks, I watch a lot of those, I love the Upper East Side glamour of Sex and the City and Gossip girl. 

Besides your own show, which is your favourite trufm show?

The Mid Morning Blend with Zikho. She is my favourite tru fm presenter; I’m a huge fan of hers. 

Where would one find you on your weekend, what would you be doing and with whom?

I like dressing up, so on weekends I like to dress up and go out with my girls, try out new restaurants, go clubbing then church on Sundays. 

What do you like most about Eastern Cape and its people?

Eastern Cape has the most beautiful people both on the inside and out. I am proud to call it my home. 

If you could be anyone else who would it be and why? 

I would still be me but have Beyonce’s money…lol 

If not radio, what would you be doing? 

Whatever it is, it would still be in the entertainment industry.
