Buck is an opinionated young man who thrives on reaching the hearts of young people. He started out as a motivational speaker for an Organization called Silver Ring Thing, where he travelled the country speaking to and motivating young people. He joined trufm as producer for the Breakfast show and eventually got a break to do his show on the morning 3 - 6 show. He is also a club DJ.

What show do you do?

I host tru fm’s drive show Homestretch every Monday to Friday 15:00 – 18:00 

What is the personality of your show, favourite features? 

The personality of the show is very current and informative yet light hearted and funny. It aims to give you all the latest news from around the world and in your backyard. It merges the life of the listener with the lives of their favourite personalities. 

Who does your show speak to? 

It speaks to everyone who’s curious about the world that they live in, who enjoy contributing to current issues and still enjoy having a good laugh. 

Who inspired you to join radio and how did you join?

I would say Legends like Ernest Pillay, Bob Mabena some of the more contampary guys like DJ Fresh, DJ Sbu and Thomas also played a big role in me getting in radio. 

What else do you do besides radio, your hobbies?

I’m also a club DJ, MC and I do a fair bit of blogging on my blogsite.

Besides your own show, which is your favourite trufm show? 

Iyho…That’s a tough one. I enjoy our breakfast show Fast Forward with Reggie and Phethu, the guys are almost as good as us *naughty grin*, The Real Deal is also on point. Tsepo also holds it down on After Hours. There’s too many cos the weekend also has some gems. 

Where would one find you on your weekend, what would you be doing and with whom? 

Everywhere with everyone… 

What do you like most about Eastern Cape and its people? 

I like the sense of ownership that people of the Eastern Cape have about something that comes from here. We’ve seen this demonstrated in the success of Zahara. 

If you could be anyone else who would it be and why? 

Jay Z…He is worth half a billion dollars and has beyonce for a wife. Should I say anymore? 

If not radio, what would you be doing? 

I would probably have gone into investment banking.
