Tomorrow'S Top Down Load
Since we started with the show, one of the more popular features we've had has been the top download. Here we play a never been heard before song and ask for the callers opinion. If three people call in and say they like it, the song returns the next day as the top download again. If three people aren't feeling it, then askies we're sorry but we'll give other children a chance in the spotlight. The excitment comes in how long a song can keep coming back on the show and that is in a way a barometer as to how succesful the song would be, if it was released.
The most succesful artists on this feature have traditionally been Eastern Cape artists. The record currently stands at 9 consecutive days by Simbone with his song titled Kwanele. The only other artist to come close to this was Mpumalanga's Patrick J with 5 consecutive days with his song Andaz'uyang Thola Na. DJ Tulz managed to hang on for 3 days with Hambanabani.
Tomorrow we test out Joburg waters with an artist produced by Teargas's DJ, DJ Handz On and the song is ironically titled Go Away. Let's see how well it will do.
