I come from Alice – a place where one elderly Capetonian once said “even the unlettered become lettered because of the influence they get from being surrounded by institutions of higher learning (University of Fort Hare and Lovedale College)”. I have worked as a sport journalist for more than two decades. I had the pleasure of covering the Korea/Japan 2002 FIFA World Cup finals and the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament. I also covered the 2004 CAF Africa Cup of Nations finals in Tunisia as well as the 2013 Afcon finals here at home. I also had the honour of covering the 2014 CHAN finals held here in South Africa. I have also covered many domestic football cup finals. I’m a dad to two sons.
