Gift Nongqoto is a God Fearing gentleman born and raised in Mount Frere, Eastern Cape. I started working for SABC as a presenter/producer since May 2011 to date. My passion has always been with radio. I’ve been with Kingfisher fm in PE as a presenter also as news reader. I’ve worked as a drama actor at UMhlobo Wenene fm before joining Tru fm.

What are you most proud of in the Eastern Cape?

We have a rich history, great personalities, leaders, academics and well known politicians are from this province. I like its cultures and traditions.

Hopes and aspirations?

I’d like to grow and become a leader of some sort in the news division at SABC, I believe I have great potential. I also dream of becoming a pastor or running a church one day.

Favourite type of music; favourite movie?

Gospel and Jazz music...comedy in movies, I enjoy laughing.
