Multi-award winning Afro-pop muso Kelly Khumalo has put her drama- and controversy-riddled life at the back of her mind as she gets down and dirty, all in the name of charity.

This week, the Itshitshi and Asine hitmaker swapped her high heels and make-up for overalls and boots to set up a vegetable garden for a rehabilitation centre in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria.

The musicians were required to build a vegetable garden from scratch with minimum resources.

"It's not about me. Personally, there's nothing to gain. I'm doing it for a good cause, charity. the people who need it most," said Khumalo,

"I believe I'm involved in something that will change people's lives."

On the music front, the sexy singer said her collaboration album with Chomee would be released before the end of the year 2015.
