Cd Review: Dumza
At first I thought, who is this guy that kinda sound like
Ringo Madlingozi. Then as I listen to the rest of the tracks, Dumza Maswana is
a unique afro soul man, with a touch of Gospel. The man is a good, unique and raspy
vocalist.
The album is as if it
was recorded on an open mic session, in some well acoustically designed club.
It has that raw sound of a live band.
The album was well mixed. Tracks to look out for is the
first single “Nguye” receiving heavy airplay on trufm.
The sleeve design is quite mature and sends a massage of what
Dumza music is all about. Given a chance, he is the next talk in town. Good
one...Dumza!!!
