Jack Parow hits gold status

It took South Africa's Dangerous Romantic Afrikaans Rapper, Jack Parow's second album, EKSIE OU, only four months to reach Gold! "Thank you for all the support! It's amazing; I am so glad. Next stop is Platinum!" says Parow. 

The first single from the album, Hosh Tokolosh, with Gazelle, is enjoying massive airtime on radio stations country-wide and was the first Afrikaans single to reach Number 1 on SABC's Radio Top 40 in recent history.

Kanye hit with R3.5m lawsuit over sample

Hip-Hop star Kanye West is the subject of a lawsuit over an illegal sample contained on a 2006 mixtape. 

Robert Poindexter filed a lawsuit against Kanye West in the United States District Court of Southern New York, on 27 March 12. Kanye is being sued over the song “Girls Girls Girls (Remix)” on the mixtape “Freshmen Adjustment 2.” Robert Poindexter claims that Kanye’s track contains an illegal sample of the song “Trying Girls Out” by R&B group The Persuaders. 

The lawsuit claims that Kanye knew the sample was not cleared, because he used a cleared version of the sample on “Girls Girls Girls” on Jay-Z’s 2001 album The Blueprint. “I have offered to resolve this matter out of court with Kanye West ...

Eminem’s group D12 loses another member!

Last month (Mar12), source reported that rapper Bizarre had quit Eminem’s rap group D12. Well now, it looks like D12 has lost another member. Mr.Porter aka Kon Artis took to Twitter recently to inform D12 fans that he is leaving the crew.
