The family of a Monumentpark High School pupil who committed suicideearlier this month, suspect he may have made a kind of suicide pactwith a friend, who killed himself a few weeks earlier.
The Kraaifontein family have now warned parents to look out for apossible change in the behaviour of their children, in order to preventsuch a tragedy.
Martin Pretorius, 15, hanged himself in the family's garage on March 2. He left no note.
Kraaifontein police spokesperson Captain Gerhard Niemand confirmed onTuesday that two suicides, one on February 11 and one on March 2, hadbeen reported.
The friend, 16, had committed suicide on February 11.

A mob of angryresidents, apparently fed up with crime in East London’s inner citysuburb of Quigney, attacked a suspected thief and beat him to death.
Sixmen have been arrested in connection with the killing, which happenedin the early hours of Friday morning at the Quigney Body Works.

The Premier Soccer League yesterdaypostponed the classic South African derby between Orlando Pirates andKaizer Chiefs – at Bucs’ request.
The match was initially scheduled for April 18 at EllisPark Stadium at 4pm. It will now be played at the same venue at thesame time – on May 2.
“I can confirm that the match has been postponed to May 2,” PSL general manager Andile “Ace” Ncobo told Sowetan yesterday.
