Man Utd thrashes Chiefs
This weekend marked the end of a brilliant football spectacle, the Vodacom Challenge.
After sending Pirates home (2-0) to witness the final from TV screens, Chiefs were shown the true might of the English & European champions in a match where Man Utd answered to their status by hitting the net four times to no reply.
In Pretoria on Saturday, Manchester United scored 3 times in the 2nd half to beat our own, Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 in the Vodacom Challenge final.
Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and two newcomers, Tom Cleverly & Fraizer Campbell all had their names on the scoreboard.
Rooney created several chances in the first half before United's all-time most capped player, Ryan Giggs put the Red Devils ahead with a volley into the top of the net 5 minutes before the end of the first half.
In the 57th minute, Rooney received a slicing through ball from Danny Simpson & nutmegged (shibobo) Itumeleng Khune to double United's lead.
5 minutes later youngster, Cleverly added the third and close to time substitute Campbell who was on loan at hull closed off United's attacking efforts.
As it stands, United are unbeaten in their 5 pre-season encounters so far.
