Eastern Cape government steps in: “Saving Zahara”

The Eastern Cape provincial government has announced it is to intervene in the plight of premier musician Zahara, real name Bulelwa Mkutukana, following newspaper's exposé of her dire situation. 

Eastern Cape Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture MEC Xoliswa Tom says: "As you know, there is a separation of powers - the parliamentary portfolio committee met with the Mkutukana family and will be meeting them again on Monday (23Apr12). 

"They'll then compile a report regarding what actions need be taken and they'll hand it over to me as a member of government."

Kanye West stepped up his blossoming romance with Kim Kardashian by spending the weekend (21-22Apr12) with the reality TV star and her family in New York.

The new couple sent gossip bloggers into a spin earlier this month (Apr12) when Kardashian was spotted leaving West's Big Apple apartment the morning after they enjoyed a movie date together in the city. The Stronger hitmaker, who recently went public with his "love" for the curvaceous beauty on his new song Way Too Cold, has continued to woo Kardashian and they reunited in the early hours of Saturday (21Apr12), shortly after the socialite arrived with her sister Khloe and manager mother Kris Jenner from Los Angeles.

Drake blasts David Guetta

Drake insists he would hate to work with David Guetta because he prefers to make music which has ''integrity and soul''. The 25-year-old rapper insists he would rather make a club track with ''integrity and soul'' than collaborate with artists such as French producer David Guetta. 

He told NME magazine: ''For me, the David Guetta stuff just doesn't work. I don't really wanna go there. There's other artists, that's their sound. 

''They feel in order to thrive internationally that they gotta do straightforward, four on the flour, David Guetta, Pitbull music. 

''For me, I'd rather go to somebody like Jamie xx and tell him, 'Look, I really wanna turn the club upside down, but I wanna do it with integrity ...

50 Cent teams with game show network for new blackjack game

Hip-Hop star 50 Cent has teamed with the Game Show Network’s interactive division to launch a Blackjack game on Facebook. 

“50 Cent’s Blackjack” is a new gambling game that allows players to compete at 50?s virtual casino. 

Players compete against a dealer for chips, as well as their friends and other 50 Cent fans. 

Avatars on 50 Cent’s Blackjack are customizable and players can even build their own wardrobes. 

In addition to launching on Facebook, GSN Digital is planning a mobile version of 50 Cent’s Blackjack for Android and Apple devices.
