L-Tido sold over 4000 copies on mixtape by hand distribution
Born in one of Johannesburg’s townships Alexander, L-Tido, is an award-winning rapper, who has shared a stage with a lot of successful artists including American superstars Rick Ross, Slum Village, The Game and Maino.
His mixtape, City of Gold, which was hand distributed sold over 4000 copies and the follow-up, All or Nothing, his debut album with the hit track, Smash, dropped in 2011.
“I believe every rapper shouldn’t depend on getting a recording deal, because if you stand bv yourself and prove a point that you can make it, it is easy for recording companies to get you a deal because your product is sellable” he said.
